Geforce FX 5600

I just built me a computer.. well my brother built it for me i just payed for it and everytime i go to play ANY game it will start freezing up like every 5 10 mins for like 15 secs. i think this problem is getting worst. i check to see if the card is over heating its warm but not hot so i put a fan by the video card and its not even running warm now and its still doing it. i got 2400+AMD 1024ram 5600fx K7N2 MSI main board . if anyone can post any info it would help.

Thanks !

if your power supply is enough, the next thing to do is to completely uninstall drivers and reinstall from http://nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

Maybe it's not the card overheating BUT the CPU!
Check your CPU temperatures.
Also, check if a driver update will solve the problem.!

Send a message via ICQ to tony_j15 Send a message via AIM to tony_j15
This still sounds like overheating of some component, or the card could be bad.

make your way to the control panel (start>settings>control panel) then Add or Remove Programs and scroll down the list till you see NVIDIA Windows 2000/XP Display Drivers. select that and remove.
