Finding out the speed of RAM

I just inherited a fairly new computer, and I was wondering how to find out how fast the RAM is. Is there a generic program that can tell me? Do I need to poke around in the BIOS?

You could open the case and take out a stick and hopefuly it will say on it how fast it is.

A program....

I think Sisoft Sandra will tell you.

Now that I think about it, the bios is the easiest way of finding out.

go in the bios.

it should tell you there.

This is a handy little program that will let you find the frequency your RAM is running at (speed).

Hi Yarish,
Get hold of AIDA32. It will give you specific information on your ram. Including best CAS latency at supported mem speeds etc..
Regards,
Elad.
