Systems Connect TV to Laptop.

I linked my HP laptop to my TV to watch some DVDs and everything went just fine... Bu i have a new TV with a big screen but im not able to link it with my laptop because it has a S-Port just like the one in my laptop while the old tv has this video "hole" where i can plug the cable in. What should i do? Is there some sort of cables that go from a S-Video Port to another S-Video Port ? Thanks.

That's all the new TV has for input? One S-video jack? What model TV?

It has two holes for audio (audio in L and R), that's from the front, from the back there are also two (audio out L and R), that's all. Also from the back there are some stuff labeled VGA and PC but not "holes" but "like the port of a printer or something like that".

Well, there are S-video to S-video cables, such as this one.

The TV must be pretty old, since just about all of them now have composite video input for game consoles (next to the audio-in connection).

If the tv has svhs input, you should use that, it's better than composite.

What is the Make and Model of the TV so we can look up the specs on it? We're just guessing at this point.

The TV is LOEWE Calida 5684 Z.
I read its catalogue and it says that in the back there is a VGA port that will tansform the TV to a VGA monitor, does that have anything to do with my issue? The VGA port doesn't have the same shape as the S-Video port but it has this trapezodial shape. Anyway please look up its specs. Thanks.

Nice TV.

Your TV's VGA port sounds like a standard VGA port that any computer will have (15-pin high density "D" connector). You should be able to purchase a VGA cable to hook up your laptop to it.

It could also possibly be a DVI connector.
