Talk Need help comparing CDRWs LG v/s LITE-ON and Roxio v/s Nero

I am getting a new computer and need some opinions comparing these two CDRWs. My old computer has an LG 48x24x48 which has never given me an grief. The guys at the store told me that LGs have given them trouble and that I should get a Lite-On 52x32x52 for the new computer. This drive comes with Nero which they say is better than Roxio. I've had no problems with Roxio, does all I need and is simple to use.

Give it to me straight, Thanks

and i personally like lite-ons and nero, but i daresay that if you do get a lite-on, then roxio will still work with it if the old drive is still in the machine. the bundled version of nero works like this, but i don't know if it will stop working if you take the old drive out. and i do hear lots of good things about the lg drives, so if it's cheap then it will save you the bother of learning to use nero. nero IS really easy to use, btw so don't let that frighten you.

I dont see any reason to switch if your not having a problem...why fix it if it aint broke?
Of course the guys at the store are gonna say you should buy something new.....from them....
You can always upgrade to a liteon later if you do start having problems....dont let them bully you into something you dont necessarily need...

If you are keeping/selling the old box and not parting it out, go with the lite-on in your new machine. I have had excellent performance from lite-on burners.

I also have a LG DVD-R/RW that I really like. It's been as reliable as my lite-on CD burners.

Yeah, if you're not having a problem with it then keep it. There's no reason to buy a new one when your present one is working fine. Unfortunately those guys you are buying the computer from may just be trying to give you grief and get you to spend more money with them.

I do much prefer Nero over Roxio tho, but to each his own.

Don't fix something that's not broken. Roxio is good and I use it all the time. Nero is also good. But not good enough to change a drive.

Also depends on your budget.
