MSI Board Not booting

Hello, I hava an MSI motherboard that will not boot, It sticks at "Checking NVRAM" and the red and green lights are at Atepmting to boot.

I reset the jumpers to clear the CMOS, but it did not work.

I had untightened the screw of my ATI video card, and it did boot up, but now it will not.

Please help.

if you get video on your monitor then it's probably not the video card. what you said about loosening the screw, try slightly loosening all the mb screws and retighten them, as the board may be a little bit twisted. are the red and green lights on the motherboard or onscreen indicators?

Did you test the ram modules on another motherboard?
Did you make sure they were fully inserted?

This is exactly what I did to recover my bios.

http://www.msi.com.tw/html/support/bios/note/boot.htm

I had to hit Ctrl-Home alot repetatively from the first beep to get it to read the floppy though or else it wouldn't read the bios recovery floppy I made.

Hope that helps.

*edit* I also did a clear CMOS jumper (its in the motherboard manual how to do it) and removed the CMOS battery from the motherboard for a couple of hours just to make sure the CMOS was completely cleaned out.

Yes the ram modules did work on another board and yes they are inserted into the slot fully.

Sixpac_XP it does not appear to have SiS, at least not on the Product page of in the manual.

Sorry, I should of asked which Bios you had AMI or Award. Your computer is running the AMI bios.
