Ti-4200 Wavy Screen??

I have a leadtek ti-4200 card (128MB). Stock speed is 250/514. I've been playing it overclocked at 300/540 for quite some time without problems but recently (especially when AA is turned on), the screen would go blank then 2 sec later it would come back shrunk and waving madly. WTF?? I tried lower my speed to 275/235 but it still happens... It doesnt seem to happen at stock speed.. why was it working OC'd before but not now?

Try a different monitor for a while ... You have to isolate the problem to the video card before you can blame it.

the fault lies with graphic card. this graphic card has tendacy to get really hot and produces heat or sometimes the fan on it go bust. because of that u recieve wavy image showing that it is overheat only solution i can suggest is return the card or try inserting more fans in ur pc .

My PNY Ti4200 card developed a very similar problem after a few months of use. The fan was still working, but the card finally got so hot the capacitors started to bulge.

I finally had to RMA the card. Unfortunately, they're getting so many returns on the Ti 4200's (and 4400's) that they have been back ordered for over a month.

Eventually, I bought a new ATI card, 'cause I couldn't wait any longer. I'll probably just sell the Ti4200 if & when they ever send me a new one.

Good luck with your card, but chances are, you'll have to RMA it eventually.
