Vice City installation problem

When I install Vice City, at 1% the installation program gives an error: corrupt file: "Readme: Italian.text"
I've searched the net for other news groups who mentioned the same problem but never an answer whas given.

So, I hope to get some wiser in here

if you got it from edonkey, kazaa, etc. chances are its curropt file.

here's an idea....buy a legit verison

if it is legit, than check the cd for scratches or the such, and just exchange it for another copy.

I've seen the EXACT same problem with a few people(with original and pirate CD's) and all you gotta do is hit the ignore button and continue installation and everything should work fine!

This is indeed a download
But! I have the same problem with my original copy and a exact copy of a friend of mine.
The strange thing that more people have exact the same problem.
When I get the "error", I can only choose OK and done with it
Luckely I have the game on ps2 as well

if you have the same problem with your origional, then exchange it for another and see if you still get the error.

i have searched the internet for this problem but i dont see anything, you could always send teh company an email asking about the problem.

I had the same problem
here´s what I did: copyed all the files to HD and installed from there.
While installing I had several "CRC error" messages (just ignore).
Anyways the installation was succsessful.

Unfortunately next problem came up. when I hit NEW GAME, it starts loading and freezes abot half way....no error messages no nothing...
