Logitech Z-680 problem.

I have

Sounder Blaster Audigy 2 THX Certified Sound card w/ DVD audio for diemension systems

and bought the speakers a week later.

When i test my speakers w/ the remote all 5 speakers make a noise. But when i test them on my creative speaker settings(volume control for the card?) my front left and front right speakers work when the noise says which speaker it should go to.

Here my problem... they are the only one that go w/ the channel noises.

middle goes no where
rear right speakers ends up goin to my subwoofer
rear left goes to the middle
subwoofer goes no where

What the problem?
Do i need to install some type of software or get another cable? All i did was hook up everything that in the box and i'm positve i didn't install any software.

make sure you hooked up the cables int he right order if you hooked up the speakers via 6 channel audio. Also make sure that all of the sound card surround encoding is turned off, the speakers will do that for the card.

I'm sure the wiring is correct, i did it three times before i posted the question and another today after reading ur post. How do i do this:

I know that with my nvidia sound storm(DOn't know if its on audigy) There is an option to have the computer do the surround sound encoindg, with that turned on, and i do the tests. The test sounds come out of the wrong speaker. The front two are right, the center is out the back left, none out the back right, and no sub. If i turn off the dolby encoding on the sound card everything works fine becasue the speakers do all the encoding.

Ok I figured out that I made a mistake in plugin in a wire into the main control pack.

Testing: Result

Front Left: Front Left
Center: Rear Left
Front Right: Front Right
Rear Left: Center
Rear Right: Subwoofer

I conclude
Subwoofer: Rear Right

So when u decode it, is it found in an option withine the control volume? Askin cause I have no idea to look for it, and it i can target the my search to somthing specificer then my whole computer I think i can do it quicker.

Did the audigy two come with any software that you installed, some sort of volume control/sound program with settings for the card in it. You might have better luck finding your problem if someone would answer here you owns an audigy two.

i searched and found and read here: http://www.techimo.com/forum/t64460.html and i can't find it where its stated. do we have the same card? Platinum same as mine?

last question meaning are the platinums are the only type able to access these speakers? Or is there somewhere i can do it w/ what i have.

IDK, like i have said before, i have Nvidia soundstorm, not an audigy two.
