AOL Not working...

Whenever I try to connect to AOL through a modem it takes three times to dial up and then I finally connect to AOL. But I can't surf the net! A message comes up stating "AOL has detected an error with your connection to the internet". The error happens when I connect with DSL but I can surf the net.

if your DSL is working fine, and the problem is just with AOL, then take advantage of AOL's phone tech support, maybe they can help.

OK, I'm thinking it is the modem so I am going to install a totally new one and see if it helps.

I have a similar problem with the AOL error you are getting. The solution I found, or the computer shop found was to rebuild/redo/fix the winsock program. The shop found a a program somewhere that fixes the winsock automatically. I would give you the program if I knew how or tell you where to get the program, if I knew where to get it. Sorry I am not much help.
