xp->win98->net help? what should i do?

hey there...hope everyone is feeling good
...
well, im trying to share the net between windows ... win98 and an xp computers
the 98 is the router (gateway). and the xp connects to it

i already setup windows xp .. and assigned an ip to it. 192.168.0.2 , and the gateway 192.168.0.1

well, i wonder if i need a special program for the net sharing on win98 ... since i haven't done it before , dunno what to do

and i need it to work as soon as possible. since they're bothering me to share the net at home and asking me to disconnect

You are better off making the XP machine the gateway. Win98 does need an internet sharing add on. I think you have to run win98se for it to work. Its on the win98se cd. You need to goto the control panel and select the Add new software, then choose windows components, its under networking or something like that. I haven't used 98 in awhile.

i'll give it a try. and i need to have this as a router., since i can't go there and connect, then go back there if it disconnects
