Outdoors Major Technical Issue

Alright, here's the lowdown...

When playing a game such as Hitman 2 or NHL 2002 (Those are the 2 i've experienced it on) my computer will flash to a blue screen with a LOT of text and the only thing I can read is "Beginning dump of physical memory".

Then my computer restarts and after I get in windows I get the "This system has recovered from a serious error". The details are:

C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini082903-01.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\SILVER~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER1.tmp.dir00\ sysdata.xml

I'm running Windows XP Pro with a 2ghz AMD processor and 512 MB of memory.

Also I'm getting some slowdowns that I SHOULDNT be getting at all...CD's skip, MP3's skip, even the sound in those games skip every once in a while and theres no reason that should happen.

Can anyone help me with whats going on?

hmmm, sounds like a ram issue. can you try some other ram while playing those games? maybe if its one stick of 512, try a different ram slot as well before you swap it. as far as the hiccups go, could be some kinda irq sharing deal with the soundcard possible. try a different pci slot if you can?

If you disable the rebooting on crash dump option you could read the blue screen to get an idea of what the major error is.

IRQL less then whatever... Or Paging to non-pageable RAM area or the base area. It gives a "slight" idea of what the problem could be.
