At Home dual boot with 2 hard drives

I have a 10 GB hard drive with Window 98 installed and a 40 GB hard drive with XP Pro installed. I need to know how to boot into Windows 98 when I need to. What do I do?

Yes I have, but I could not find a specific answer to the two hard drives with operating systems ALREADY installed. If I have missed something, it would be helpful for you to point me in the right direction.

The easiest way is to edit boot.ini on the drive with XP Pro. It is a hidded/system/read-only file so you'll have to change the attributes first. Then just add an entry for the 98 drive. It should be somewhat straight forward but I think I can find a Microsoft tutorial that goes step-by-step.

Can this be done by editting the XP ini file to allow the option to boot to 98 on the slave drive or XP on the master?

Just wondering.

If 98's boot files are not located on the 'Active' partition, it's not going to work. You'll either need some 3rd Party software, or a "Do Over". Install 98, then XP, XP will recognize the 98's there and handle things accordingly.
