Systems AcroRd32.exe {error message}

I just downloaded a user manual for a bud's answering service from Unical Enterprises Inc. I saved it to desktop and then tried opening it with Adobe Reader 6.
I keep getting this mess:
AcroRd32.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows.
An error log is being created.
Anybody deal't with this one before?

OK, I just tried to open the manual with Office Word and lo and behold it opened. HOWEVER, it's all in HTML code. This manual is a free download from the company who produces these answering machines, so I can't understand why it would be "coded". Anybody have any suggestions as how a person would go about deciphering this.

Maybe the file is supposed to be .html not .pdf
Try changing the extension. If it doesn't work you can change it back.

As I was saying at the beginning, I downloaded and saved this file to the desk top. I just right clicked on it, for properties and it definitely states that it's a pdf file.
I also went back into Unical Enterprises Inc., to the downloads and commenced to download again, but just before the final download "click", I right clicked it again and the only other info I got off of it was:
Protocol: Hyper text transfer protocol
Type: N\A
Connection: Not encripted
Anyhow, I've emailed Unical, but probably won't hear from them till next week. I was just hoping I could figure it out myself before then.

I was just thinking that rather then try and explain what this document looks like, just copy and paste a small portion of it, onto this. Maybe somebody out there will know just what kind of code it is, and a possible way to translate it to English:
Here it is:

I just went into a website that might explain what the above is all about. It's called pdf-tools.com. Maybe you need one of these programs, and apparently a license to use one, if I'm reading it right, in order to decipher these codes.
Sure has me confused though, because as I said, the download user guide, above is free. I could definitely understand it, if you were trying to download something without paying!
