Dynamic Link Library

I installed windows 98 and get a message when i boot up :

Unable to load dynamic link library msnp32.dll
some or all of the follwing features are not available

What effect does not having this .dll have on the operating system and how does its absense limit capabilities of the OS? How can I rectify the problem?

Here is some info. I've never used MSN network in my life, it depends on what you use.


msnp32 - msnp32.dll - DLL Information
DLL File: msnp32 or msnp32.dll
DLL Name: Microsoft Network Provider Library
Description: Network provider library for Microsoft networks
System DLL: Yes

Common Errors: File Not Found, Missing File, Exception Errors
Solution: Download WinTasks to find out which application is using this DLL. Many problems can be solved by resinstalling this application. If the DLL is missing, download it to your windows system folder.

I suspect it has something to do with Windows networking... you may not be able to share files or printers on a network or problems of that sort.
