Can anyone help?!

My pc is making noises when i do stuff! I turned all my sounds off but when i move windows or open menus, all that sort of thing i'm getting these kinda popping noises which are quite quiet but interfere with music playback (in cubase & sibelius etc.) Any idea where the problem might lie? I'd appreciate any ideas, it's driving me mad!
(please don't hurt me, i'm a bit of a newbie )

I would recommend starting with making sure all drivers are up to date..........especially sound drivers..........it seems if I remember right, though, I had that problem with mouse drivers being messed up, but not totally sure on that.........wouldn't hurt to reinstall em all though........

Welcome to TechIMO!
