What should I buy??

Ok, so I just got my financial aid refund, so I have about $1000 to spend (if I want to) so I'm wanting input on what I could/should get?

I don't necessarily want to spend all of it, but I could if something was just really cool. Right now I have an Athlon machine and prefer to stay AMD for now. I'm using an nforce2 mobo.

Things I don't want to upgrade are case and monitor, so don't mention them.

I read about the LG Electronics GSA-4040B (supports all types of DVD-R/+R, etc.was wondering how good it was.

So any suggestions?

That config looks good to me as is, it's better then my system.

I would say replace the speakers or get a DVD writer.

get some nice speakers (logitech z680s) and a nice sound card (audigy 2 or santa cruz). then maybe get a better processor. also a DVD RW drive would be a good idea. everything else u have is pretty good.
