Windows XP users with SP1 installed. I would like to ask you what the size of the win32k.sys file is... It's located in the Windows\System32 directory..

Do have SP1 installed, I see no such sub-folder under Windows\System32 .

What does it contain and more importantly do I need it.

It may be listed under winnt\system32.

On my W2K machine its 1.63MB.

I was checking because I was getting win32k.sys BSODs on some rare occasions. I just wanted to make sure the size of the file was the same for possible file corruption... Mine is also 1.61mb
