Links to wireless PCMCIA network adapter reviews/comparisons

I need a few sites comparing/reviewing Wireless NICs for my notebook. I'm going to be forced into buying an internet account at my University because of one class, and I'm not paying $20 to get just what I need for the class out if it.

I've been looking at Dlink, Netgear, and Linksys ones...but I don't like the range of them...I'll probably need to run it at 2mbit and would like more than a few hundred feet indoors...as campus can stretch much, much further than that - and I have no idea where the access points are.

Check with campus IS first, Telexen, as they should have wireless coverage pretty well ciovered, if they are doing their job.

They may also have recommendations about which wireless NIC's work best with their access points/repeaters.

That'd be what I'd do first, anyway.

Cheers
Mick

for distance the best card i have used is the orinoco cards.

as for comparisons i dont know if you really can compare them because there is so many factors that affect the distance and the speed. Is this a "B", "A" or a "G" wireless network?

This is true. The campus should be peppered with multiple access points with high gain antennas, so it shoulnd't matter much which wifi adapter your laptop has.
