What is the best strategy game?

warcraft 3 is good, once a long wait. Age of empires...didnt get into my attention and so does age of mythology. the music isnt nice at all
the galactic empire star wars thingy once a great game and once i played it. it turned up pretty boring with the age of empire engines.
the sims cool...more like real life as if you're in the game. played it 4-5 times and and its repetitive. same things all over again. im actually waiting for star craft 2, though i was not at all a star craft fan. I was before, when it was first out. after the mean while, it got pretty boring and a bit frustrating
i hope on SC2, it'll be good one and that is a pleaseee... any great strategy games yet?

W3 is good. the graphics and so on. the playbility. almost totally different from its previous predecessor. i love it when your hero can gain experience to level-up. The music is so amazing. double thumbs up for that

Heroes 3's good, unlike H4 which is quite good but it is much more like 3D with an amazing color resolutions.
TA is good, lot of people playing network over here.

I have been playing Civilizations 3 myself, but the music is boring, i think you mentioned that too. Other than that, I have been wanting a good strategy game too! There must be some out. I want the NEW ones though. Not old has been ones hehe. Hmmmm i tried warcraft 3 and i dont know if i really liked it. I actually found it kinda difficult i think. But I had never played one or two, and really only tried it a few times. I'm gonna check out the net and maybe post back some good ones too try.

Was a game back quite a while ago now that I thought was really cool. Was called Netstorm.

However my personal favs are still Starcraft: Broods Wars and Warcraft III: TFT

Definately try Civilizations 3, it is totally replayable. And highly addictive. The graphics arent amazing or anything but the concept is good. It is one of the best right now i think. There was one I wanted a while ago, "Medieval-Total War", it looked awesome and has good reviews. If any one has tried this game I would like to know what they thought before i buy it.
