I just got a new pre-built bare bone computer. It has the ECS K7S5A Pro. I tried to use my Voodoo 3 3000 PCI for video but I get no picture. Do I need an AGP card?

The K7S5A should boot normally from PCI card. Make sure it is seated properly and everything is connected fine.

The comp is starting up fine, right? Post beep, and case fans operational? Just no video?

help! No video with K7S5A PRO

He may have solved his problem, but I have the same. I just got the mobo today, brand new, got everything installed and am getting NO PICTURE AT ALL. The monitor goes to sleep. I tested both the monitor and video card on other machines, they worked.
I get no beeps when I turn it on, the fans turn on, and the hard drives clicks, the cd-rw also goes on. It's a 400w power supply, empty hard drive, any clues as to what my problem is? I believe it's an AGP card.. it won't fit in the PCI slots.

If you can see your post screen but disappears when windows started here's a trick. Boot to safe mode and go to video settings. Set it as 640x480 at 16 (or 256) colors. Apply it and reboot to normal boot. Go to your video settings and choose advanced. Under adapter choose adapter default. Reboot to normal. There you can use your favorite settings.

Hey guys. Try to turn on the computer OUTSIDE the case. That way you know if the motherboard is shorting with the case.!

Outdoors help (have same problem)

I have the exact same problem. I got my board, case, and chip brand new at Fry's. They came together in a special deal.
The board will power up but will not beep and nothing appears on the screen. I already tested different ram and video cards (that I know work and to answer the last question it should go to the bios screen with just ram and a video card in)

It is very fustrating and time consuming.

Has anybody figured this out??
