Advice in checking my wireless security level

Got everything up and running wireless at home.

I installed netstumbler on my laptop .............. so now I need advice/instruction on how to do some security testing.

What do you see with netstumbler? You should see an encrypted network with no SSID.

As for security testing, there isnt much testing to do. WEP can be cracked, thats all there is to it.

Only thing you can do further is to use MAC filters and change your WEP keys often.

Even if you change your WEP keys often, with AIRSnort and the like, it can be found in a matter of hours.

GroundZero3 posted a really neat analysis by someone of wireless "security". I'll see if i can find the link, and post it in here for ya. Very interesting read, it is.

Cheers
Mick

edit: sorry, copuldn't find the link I was looking for.

But I found this, which tells you everthing you need to know about how secure wireless is.
