FS2002 modding

Do u have to have the pro version of ms flight sim 2002 to create your own aircraft or can i create and install mods with standard. I was asking because i thought maybe i just needed to download gmax to edit it. I mean why would the change all the conpression files and stuff just so people couldn't edit the standard version. I also want to download new aircraft.

I dont really know. if its glitching then u might need to have it , if not it should have on the main menu "create aircraft" or something like that
