What's causing this?

The stock fans on my Geforce cards, the ones that plug into the card itself, no longer work. If I plug them into a different 3 pin connector the fans work. I've put in both a gf3 ti200 and an original geforce DDR and the fans don't run if they're plugged into the video card.

Is my motherboard going bad?

It's a Biostar M7vip kt333a chipset. Everything seems fine otherwise.

Thanks

Yeah the video is fine otherwise - well outside of a couple lockups when it first did it - but as long as I'm plugged in where the fan works everything seems to be good.

I’m not saying this is happening to you. But my Geforce fan started making
noise, then a month later it stopped working all together. I had to plug the fan
power in a different plug to get it to work as well. No biggy I thought, everything
is working well now. 2 weeks later my case power supply blew, I put in a new one
& what do you know, the old fan power plug works again, & my card fan is no longer
making noise. Just something to keep an eye out for.

OK that's worth knowing. It's a 300w Sparkle but it is getting a couple of years on it and in BIOS it's outputs are just a tad on the low side.

Thanks
