Damn, I downloaded a 1.2 GIG file and I had 700 MB left remaining in C:\ drive because of that and I rebooted and then it said I had 2 Gig space Total and I was like WTF?! How did I get this extra space? And then I was about to open the file that I got yesterday and BAM, the file says 0 KB!! WTH.... I did chkdsk /p and it detected errors so I did chkdsk /f. Has this happened to anyone?
When your downloading a file from the internet the computer stores it in memory and in temporary internet files and will only transfer the rest of the file when the whole thing is downloaded. If you reboot the system whilst it was still downloading the chances are that it made the file it was going to copy it to but never got down to it.
Try downloading it again, i know its a bugger but just leave it on overnight or something.
