sound card problem

Hey Everybody,
i recently built my computer before college and everything seemed fine when i brought it here. However, i just installed my tv card and tried to connect the output from my tv card to the imput and microphone jacks and it would not work. The sound works fine when i plug the speakers directly into tv card output or the ouput of my onboard sound. I use onboard sound, my motherboard is the gigabyte AMD 7N400 pro 2. I installed the drivers and everything and i can't figure out why the input to my sound won't work.

Could you please list your computer specs with the OS you're using.

Are the irq settings the same on each card they maybe corrupting each other

I dont think it has anything to do with IRQ.

A. Make sure the Line In is selected in the recording volume settings

B. Try another cable

C. Make sure the software you are using is set to use Line in Audio
