Boot Selection Fix

Hey there
I reformatted my system after dell shipped it full of crap, it had Win XP home on it and I loaded my Win XP Pro instead, I have performed this proccess many times before yet this time something strange happend. Now when I boot my system it asks me which OS to boot into, when I selct home it displays the foloowing Error: Windows couldnt start because of a disk hardware configuration problem.
could not read from the selected boot disc. check the boot path and disc hardware.
Please check the Windows Documentation about hardware disc configuration and your hardware reference manuals for additional Information.

What it sounds like is that a Partial Partion that was there orginally set aside for XP Home instalation didnt get deleted before Pro was installed, how do I Fix this problem and get the misc partion added to my already formatted Partion? or at least stop the boot from asking?
Thanks

Dell normally puts a stupid 20MB partition at the front of the drives that might be causing this error.

You can prolly just go into your boot.ini file though and delete the XP Home Edition line

Ok, I deleted the Line in both the boot.ini file and the boot.ini Backup file, I stll have the same problem, it just wont go away, I opened both files to see if the changes stuck and they did so I still have no clue.
