Well, Eryk, I have just engaged in a conversation this evening with a friend at NASA JSC that builds the carbon fiber panels for the Shuttle and have more friends that have built B-2 Bombers... We believe we can manufacture and market Carbon Fiber cases for an end price of approx $200 US. The most serious issue with the carbon fiber panels is electrical conductivity, which we have solved. We will be making prototypes in the weeks to come.
Please contact me via ICQ, ICQ#138351305 or via email @

We are also considering RCC (Reinforced Carbon-Carbon); however, that would be quite a bit more expensive. It would be resistant to temperatures in excess of 3000F on the high side...
Cheers,
Tom
