I'd say make one. It'd be pretty expensive though. How about the sticker sheets that look like Carbo Fiber? Not the same, of course, but much cheaper and easier to do. As for where to get the Carbon Fiber? One word... "Google".

seems like carbon fiber would be difficult to work with

I don't think it'd be that difficult to work with, but it does look messy. I bet it'd be hard to make it look nice, though.

I think that'd be the easiest thing. Try a google search or try auto stores locally.

Phoenix Imaging can coat it for you in many different CF colors and some other killer appearing finishes as well---an expensive process but it would be cheaper to coat an existing case rather then make one from scratch using CF---

As luck would have it....

Well, Eryk, I have just engaged in a conversation this evening with a friend at NASA JSC that builds the carbon fiber panels for the Shuttle and have more friends that have built B-2 Bombers... We believe we can manufacture and market Carbon Fiber cases for an end price of approx $200 US. The most serious issue with the carbon fiber panels is electrical conductivity, which we have solved. We will be making prototypes in the weeks to come.

Please contact me via ICQ, ICQ#138351305 or via email @ leftypenguin@hotmail.com if you are interested.

We are also considering RCC (Reinforced Carbon-Carbon); however, that would be quite a bit more expensive. It would be resistant to temperatures in excess of 3000F on the high side...

Cheers,
Tom
