Is this considered alcohol abuse?

I spilled a beer on my keyboard. Not a little mind you, but about 3/4 of it. While surfin. And it was Labatts Blue.

I was half inebriated and didn't relise it untill about 30 search windows appeared.lol

Took it out to the garden hose and gave it a good cleaning.Dryed it . Still shot. Oh well. Must try to be more careful (hiccup)

Allow the keyboard to throughrally dry out for another day and it still might be usable.

Not sure on the alcohol thingy but since you washed it out it just may still recover. Some people put thier keyboards through the dishwasher.

The sugar probably ruined your keyboard, not the alcohol. Good thing they're cheap, huh?

By the way, this is one instance where a desktop is vastly superior to a laptop.

I too, lost a keyboard to a beer (damn you Samuel Adams and your patriotic goodness!). I consoled myself by purchasing a fancier keyboard with all sorts of quick launch keys, volume, and MP3 controls. For a couple months I kept all liquids outside of a five foot radius of my keyboard (I was practically going into the next room to take a sip of water).

Now I am once again happily surrounded by half-filled coffee cups and glasses, and I never, ever, use any of the little quickie keys on the keyboard.
