My Documents keeps appearing during the startup!

Has anybody got an idea? I've checked my startup folder on msconfig, and don't find My Documents listed there. Whenever my windows is started, it appears annoyingly. Oh and I'm using Windows XP Professional

This is an issue due to a bad shutdown where XP remembers what was open at the time . There was a thread on this a few weeks ago and I'll be darned if I can find it.

So? What shall I do? I've typed "My Documents" on the search engine, trying every single thread that appears (there're not so many threads containing the term "My Documents"), and find nothing.

There is an option to have Windows re-open all previously open windows after a reboot or shutdown/startup.

You can disable that by using the Microsoft TweakUI utility or any other tweaker utility.

I did, and it's left unchecked

I've checked that also. The value data is (and has always been) 0 which technically shouldn't open any windows during the startup. Any other suggestions?

Send a message via AIM to Greymon
Have you looked here in the registry:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\

and then either Run\Runonce\RunOnceEx.

Or you could try Mike Lin's Startup CPL.
