USB 1.1 512mb Pen Drive Deflects/Errors

Just Bought a 512mb pen-drive usb 1.1 for 79 pounds, last week, and i have had nothing but trouble. For some reason most of the stuff I put on it, becomes corrupted. For example:-
I put a file onto the pen-drive which was 360mb in size. Once onto the pen-drive I check the properties and it is 360mb. OK NOW!! I take the drive out (i've tryed it by using eject as well) put it back in the usb slot and check the properties, and for some reason it has 4.56 GB of data, and most of the files are corrupted. I have tryed this on all 4 of my computers, and its the same problem. Its happening with all my big files. Can some-one help
