Blaster Worm Windows Update

Wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I'm on Windows XP Home sp1. For the last 3 days in a row, I get a windows update notification to install a security update for the blaster worm. Each time I have installed it, but windows update refuses to acknowledge that I've done so. The next day I get the same message. I have checked, and in all cases it is exactly the same update (same number). Even right after installing and rebooting if I go to the windows update site, it tells me there is a critical update. What can I do? Just ignore it?

If you're talking about the "Steps to Protect Yourself from the Blaster Worm" that's on the Welcome screen. Well, everybody sees it.

EDIT - I didn't read closely. Is it showing that the install has failed?

No, I mean when I scan for updates it finds a critical update for me to download. But it's the same update I just installed. Also, I have the computer set to automatically check for updates, and every day it notifies me about this one no matter how many times I install it.

I replied before your edit... No it says the install completed successfully.

Clear out your cache and see if it still reports that update as needed.
