SVC - Cheap inverters?

As of right now I've burned out four cold cathode lights with two different SVC dual inverters, and I'm wondering if they just have terrible hardware. They even seem to have shut my computer down randomly a few times (I'm pretty sure it's not the power supply, as it's a reliable 400W Antec which works perfectly when the CC lights aren't plugged in). Is there a better place where I can get them, and are there any particular guidelines I need to follow when hooking up a CC light to a 4-pin connector?

I've been using SVC lights for some time now, with no prob's. Are you sure it's not a problem with your power or PSU? Maybe the lights aren't hooked up right? As for the guidelines... just make sure you use the yellow and black (12VDC), not the red and black (5VDC).

Yeah, based on my experiences with SVC I'd be suprised if it was faulty gear.

Are you using the correct inverter for the tube, or did you swap tubes along the way?

Don't use a 4-pin connector that shares lines with one of the drives. Isolating the CC inverter on its own power lead from the PSU sometimes cleares up CC-related instability.

[edit]
The same goes for fans as well. High power fans should be isolated on their own power lead from the PSU if they are causing instability.
