If they are expecting it to be in vector format then you want to use a "real" vector application, like Illustrator, Freehand, Corel Draw, etc.

If you have Photoshop and Illustrator, then you can cut 'n paste vector objects between the two. But Photoshop files, even if they contain vector data, they still are not "real" vector documents. You need to use a vector based application and save to a true vector format like .AI, .PS, .EPS (Adobe Illustrator, Post Script, Encapsulated Post Script).

Have you already designed something in PS7 and now you're stuck? Or have you not begun the design yet?

Photoshop will save to .EPS format and I believe also .AI.

You can certainly try. I've only experimented a couple times with doing that and wasn't very successful.

There is a way to convert a selection for a vector.. but it never looks as pretty.. Take your selection the click Paths in the Layers section.. Then click the one where the hover over text says, "make work path from selection" Otherwise you can just revector it.. That always looks better..

What are vector images and formats? What is the difference between a vector image and something else, like a png or gif or jpg
