win 2000 compatibility

is ther a test that i could send someone to test there computer if win 2000 would work well on their computer?

i have a friend(in another state) that is thinkin of having her computer upgraded to win 2000. i know that there are tests for Xp but is there any special tests for win 2000. my uncle had a very old computer that someone upgraded his to win 2000 and after the install was allways having stability problems untill i build him a new box i just dont want her to go thru the same thing

I think the hardware compatibility test for Windows 2000 might still be on the MS web site.
