a game like Comanche 4 is a pretty good test. But the big tests will be when Half Life 2 and Doom III come out. Half Life 2 is due out by the end of the year. Both games are based on DirectX 9 technology.

To just test your card, use 3DMark 2003 to benchmark it. The tests in 3DMark 2003 are DirectX 9 based if i am not mistaken.

Pritty much you will have to use mark03 until half-life 2 comes out.

Doom ]|[ doesn't use DX9, as a matter of fact it's OpenGL 2.0 . Doom]|[ is more complex than HL2 for various reasons, like Doom ]|[ renders certain scenes on the fly, while HL2 will use static images, but will still look extraordinary.
