Wierd things just happend??

I was playing mohaa with the side of the case off and what looks like a jumper came off my puter from somewhere, hit a fan, and the smacked me in the arm. Everything seems to be running fine so far. I have a abit bh7 board. anybody know where this jumper might of come from. should i be worried???

the piece looks like this minus the period

A little loop with 2 bare legs? Interesting. You will find out after you do a hard reboot, since the system will check jumpers once, at boot time and remember many settings.

It is not the cmos jumper and i have done a hard reboot. I am baffeled. My puter shut down itsled maybe 20 seconds after the thing flew off but all seems to be running fine now.

LMAO this is so funny. I would still be laughin if this happened to me lol. Check all your drives. And check your manual for jumper settings. MAybe it never came from your pc. Maybe it fell from somethin or someone threw it.

had the dang thangs jest fall off and disintegrate on me AND i've normally got a spare or two lying in the bottom of the case which sometimes confuses me till i remember they're spare. my favourite tool for working with jumpers was expertly crafted from a pin vice and a paperclip. i am glad mobos at least are almost jumper free these days.

Could be from a whole bunch of places,

You really want to find it's home, go for a complete rebuild checking everything!

It still boots and works like before? Maybe it was a spare, improperly seated somewhere, had you been playing? ( side off )?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it, IMHO

found it. It was a a little bracket that held the chipset heatsink on. Thanks for all the replies.
