recommend me a mobo under $90 . . .

I am in need of a new motherboard. My last one made by ECS was good but somehow burned up after 1 year of use!

I need a board that will take a 1.33GHZ Athlon Socket A processor. I am new at building computers so am unfamiliar with what to buy re good quality mobos. I am not a gammer rather just surf the web and run adobe photoshop etc but would like something reliable and that has usb 2.0 ports.

A board with onboard video and audio would be nice since I wouldn't have to buy the video card or sound card right?

What are the high quality brands, ones that are not trash. Can I get one for under $90??

Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

If your looking for a fast reliable reallly awesome board for about $90 or less. Go with soltek sl-75frn-l. It very cool. Looks nice too. I read several reviews on it and they all say it kicks ass.

Take a look at this one http://www.pcclub.com/product_detail...temno=A4854827
This is the Board I currently Run, and love it. I have been running MSI boards for a few years without iny problems, It's also a OK OC'ing board if you plan to do iny overclocking. It has 6 USB 2.0 ports and will let you upgrade to a 2600+ if you want. And its only $60

mobo upgrade

Ditto what nobody (lol) said. That mobo will let you use sdram for now, and upgrade to DDR later.

It's just a "junior" upgrade, will max out at 266 fsb, but it great for what you are doing.

For support and stability, you cannot beat msi.

Here's a pretty nifty board from Biostar that does everything you need it to do, for 56 dollars shipped from Newegg. I've used basically the same board without the integrated video (M7VIW) for a build for a friends computer, and it's not given him a problem in the 6 months or so since I built the system for him. It has build in LAN, audio, and video, along with an available 6 USB 2.0 ports (two on the back panel, and two pin-headers for case front connectors). Not a bad deal, either. You would also be able to re-use your older SDRAM with this board, if you have that kind of memory. This board is of the Micro-ATX form factor, however, and while that won't be a problem as far as getting it to fit in a normal ATX case, it only has 3 PCI slots. If you have alot of expansion cards you want to install, that might be kind of a bummer. But, considering everything is onboard, and you still have an AGP slot if you want to install a better graphics card later, it's pretty nifty regardless.

How about the Shuttle MN31N with the N-Force 2 chipset. It features 2 GeForce 4 MX VGA ports which might be nice for Photoshop. It also has 6 channel sound for 82.00 at Newegg. It is Micro ATX form factor.

Epox 8rda+ is $79 at Newegg. Have 4 of them in computers right now although I think they might have a problem with windows 98se.

A store here in Houston had that ecs board and a oem AMD xp2200+ both for $84.99 + tax. Wish I had some money to snatch up a couple. Anything with the nforce 2 chipset is good like the Epox 8RDA+. Newegg has one for $79.99 with free shipping. I got a Leadtek K7NCR18D and its been running rock solid. Newegg has it for $78 free shipping. Which sucks for me as I payed over $ 120 about 5 months ago from somewhere else.
