3 diff vendors - is this going to be a problem

I have Windows XP with the following graphics setup:
1 Matrox G450 PCI Dual head driving 1 DVI and 1 Analog
1 Nvidia Geforce2 Single head AGP Mx 400 driving 1 DVI

Now, I am adding another flat screen and want to run the 3rd dvi. I want to try another PCI card (instead of pulling the current Geforce 2 agp card )because of the problems I had with a Gainward agp Nvidia Geforce 4 Dual HEad dvi card - It was too unstable and I never could get it to work with another card.

So, in looking for PCI/DVI cards, I found one at CC. It was a ATI Radeon 7500 PCI DVI card

Here is the question. The Matrox PCI Dual head (Dvi and Analog), and the Nvidia AGP Single Dvi are co existing. Am I inviting trouble by introducing another graphics chipset (ATI) into the mix OR, should I try swapping the Nvdia AGP single DVI card out and putting in the previous problem card Gainward AGP Nvidia Dual DVI card back in and see if the later drivers fixed the problems I was having a few months ago?

Here is an overview of the alternatives:
matrox pci dual head driving dvi and analog
nvidia agp single head driving dvi
radion pci single head driving dvi

OR

matrox pci dual head driving dvi and analog
Gainward agp nvidia dual head dvi driving dvi and dvi

(note but the second alternative is using a card I never could (in the past) get to work properly _ it was the geforce4)

The monitor is arriving today so some quick help would really be appreciated>

Thanks

I wouldnt think it would be a problem but it does seem a lot of outputs. It may put strain on the CPU because itr trying to produce so many different desktops at the same time. I would think that it should be a problem as long as you are running cross monitor desktops rather than seperate desktops on each monitor if that makes sense.

Hope this was helpful.

I'd suggest going with one of the new Matrox P650 or P750, or even the more expensive Parhelia cards, along with your G450 (or without).
P650 can run dual DVI or CRT (or one of each), P750 and Parhelia can do dual DVI or 1DVI+2CRT (or 1 DVI+crt+tv).
