DVD+R and PS2?

Do DVD+R work on the Playstation 2?

I recently bought a documentary from the History Channel, and it said its format was DVD+R. I remember someone saying PS2 doesnt play burnt DVD, if infact thats what DVD+R is?

works on my uk ps2 but i heard reports that sony were changing the newer versions so they don't work with dvd r of any type. and after sony make a dual format dvd writer. tsk tsk.
