Winfast TV2000XP Deluxe problems

Hey guys, I just installed one of the Winfast TV2000XP Deluxe cards from Newegg in my machine. The problem is that after a minute or 2 the audio dies on it. It works great up until that point. I can shutdown the Winfast software, and all will be fine for a while until it happens again. I can also change the input source and it will come back for a little while. This is really boggling me because I have tried almost everything. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with the new drivers off the web. I have shutdown my computer changed the PCI slot the TV2000XP was in and then reinstalled as well, but the audio still only lasts for a little while. I have a turtle beach santa cruz card in my machine, which was a retail card, not OEM. I have never had any problems with my audio before and as far as I knew the audio in worked fine. This looks like a great card, and I would love to use it if I could get it working right.

Sounds like your video drivers may be having a conflict with your Turtle Beach soundcard.
Have you looked to see if there are any newer drivers for your soundcard? Some times after
Installing new hardware, to makes shore no old driver is having conflicts with any other. A
clean windows install is the only shore way to go.

Yep I figured it was a conflict going on, just not sure how and what I could do to fix it. Thanks for the input, I will try and update the soundcard driver and see what happens.

Well I just changed my Santa Cruz drivers to the newest version(4193). I had 4161 and that didn't help at all. Any more ideas anybody?

did you hook up the audio cable supplied with the card from the audio out to the line in on the sound card? (outside the case)

It seemed kinda funky to me, but I did it, and it has worked fine for me.

Yep DallasDon already did that. Like I said it works great but for only a minute or too. I also noticed that the mouse pointer goes busy right before the sound stops.

Wouldn't happen to be a USB mouse? Vaguely remember reading somewhere the PCI slot 1, Direlctly below the AGP slot, "shares" an IRQ with the onboard USB on some mobos.

Sorry about your problems. I bought the TV card based on a couple of hundred five star reviews on New Egg, and love it.

Nope Dallas no USB mouse, actually I have nothing hooked up to the USB ports. I also read where PCI 1 was shared, but with the AGP slot. I don't have either my soundcard or the WinFast TV2000XP in that slot for that reason. Any other ideas?
