I have a POS Elements 32X12X48 CDRW drive, it has allways worked perfectly but one day it just stops reading CD's Period, cant read cant write I cant do anything.

Any info on how to possibly fix it would be great thanks.

I assume the drive is being detected fine and windows assigns it a drive letter.

Have you messed with the computer hardware lately?

If it's not too old, you can always rma it for a new one.

In windows it is not different than before expept when I put a CD in the drive it will constantly blip untill I remove the CD, wont read it or anything. I tryed like 15 Cd's and all did the same so I know its the drive.

I have had it for over 7 months, I e-mailed Elements but I was never e-mailed back.

Isn't the guarantee over 7months, sounds a lot like a broken drive so return it.
