Kids ASUS K7M-RM BIOS Upgrade Issue

I updated my BIOS on my K7M-RM motherboard and now I get the following at boot, before memory check. Note: I can not get to BIOS setup because the system stops at the error.

"Checking NVRAM"

I have looked around the internet and this looks like a case of either fried BIOS or needing to clear the CMOS. Is this correct? Can you provide a solution? By the way, where are the motherboard jumpers to clear the CMOS?

if you have moved your flash bios enable jumper back into position, then try booting up with the insert key pressed in. if this doesn't reset your cmos, then i hear leaving the battery out for a while does the trick, but i think it may take a couple of hours. be aware that the insert method (and probably the battery one if it works) will leave you needing to set up your bios options again, and will remove your bios protection passwords.
