Outlook 2002 password...

Just wondering why outlook asks for a password each time I check email, I even have "save password" checked.

Thanks for any help...

I had this same problem with my brothers computer, nothing I tried worked.
I ended up slapping on another email program, & it worked fine. To this day
Out look & express still have that crazy password problem in XP. Sorry maybe
someone else has the magic answer.

I had to go thru the "setup" in the connections box of internet options a few times to get Outlook to work properly. Still doesn't work on my desktop right

Still no resolution on this....went to Microsoft Knowledge Base, did a search on "password" in outlook 2002, the article said to install SP2 which I did, did not fix the problem. hmm......

BTW, the prompt I get asks for "network password", but has my mail server name and my username listed.

Send a message via ICQ to JohnE.
Maybe try a "Detect and Repair" from the Help menu?
