Good deal on a hub

http://www.compgeeks.com/details.asp?invtid=788-KIT

Not too bad is it? I'm thinking about it, but thought I'd check with those of you "in the know"

I'll use it for my fad computers so I can run tightvnc and keep the monitors mice and keyboard to a minimum. (Mife wife will be soooo happy!)

Whaddaya think?

Not bad I guess. I was gonna say "dont bother with a hub, get a switch"...but I see that this is a switch (i think, lol)

A switch is faster cuz each port is on its own little seperate network,,whereas a hub pretty much has every port sharing everything which makes the signals from each computer "collide" causing slowdowns...a switch cuts way down on "collisions"..with the low price of switches now, almost no use for hubs anymore.

I think I'll go for it, gotta order a slocket adapter anyway and I'd hate to spend less than $40.00 The fact that it comes w/ cables and cards makes it so inviting.
