cannot shotdown/restart winxp
Recently i used system restore and eversince i cannot shutdown or restart properly. I am currently using winxp home edition. I have a 1.8GHz,512MB ram pc. I tried to shut down some processes in the tast bar to see if there's a particular one causing the problem and i found out that i could shut down properly only after closing regedit.exe. I'm having this problem every time i boot my pc. Any help will be greatly apprieciated.

Save what you can, format, and then reinstall.

yeah i downloaded the latest virus definition and perform a scan yesterday and no virus was found./
