Help me kill this virus...

I recently suspected I had a virus infection on my computer and sure enough running McAfee Virusscan showed every *.exe on my computer to be infected. Also red-flagged was a file in C:\WINDOWS\TEMP that I cannot clean, quarentine or kill. I tried attrib -r -s -h and deltree temp from the windows directory.
The file is called "bma2.tmp" and I think this is the big one, since Virusscan identifies it every ten seconds or so.
What I want to do is kill the file ASAP. I am running Windows XP Pro on an NTFS file system.

All your files in Windows/temp are unnecessary just delete everything in that Dir.
There all temp files anyway, if buy chance it won’t delete go into safe mode & try
deleting it that way.

No good, Mcafee says it's the W32/pare.b virus, and it infects every .exe it has access to. I'm wiping my Hard Disk.

To be extra cautious, don't just drop the partition, re-partition and re-format. Zero write the drive first, then partition and format.
