Systems I cant see the animation (Smileys-Avatars)!!

Hey
I am in problems, not huge, but annoying. I have currently Windows 2K Professional and a few days back I became a member of this forum So far so good, but suddenly I couldnt see the animation on the avatars and the smileys anymore... I dont really know what happened, but some of them work, like Mate88's avatar, but Creatures's I see nothing (sometimes I see black sometimes white) and most of them I dont see the animation Even the awesome smileys dont animate anymore! I really have no clue at all what it can be (I though it was something with my Macromedia Flash player, but nope I uninstalled it and installed it and no difference) I really want to see the animations since its boring without them, specially when I am going to get my own avatar of Hägar, the cartoon viking, that BobOmega send me! Please if you know what it could be or if this happened to you send a post. I would really appreciate it

dan

one thing you can do, is clear your browser cache... and restart the browser...

and see if that takes care of it.

If you are using Internet Explorer, then go to "Tools" > "Internet Options". Then click the "Advanced" tab and scroll down to the "Multimedia" section, and make sure "Play animations in web pages" box is checked. Click "OK" and then see if that made a difference. Ifit didn't, go back to that same option box and uncheck the box. Click "OK", then go back and check it again, then click "OK".

HTH,

David

Hey Guys
Phew! After trying out Droppyale's and David's suggestions my internet went BOOM! I couldnt enter some pages like msn.com or techimo.com/forum but the strange part was that I could enter sites like intel.com and hotmail.com! Actually I discovered something very strange in my Windows 2K Professional, I couldnt access the Internet Options when you are surfing the web, for example to change the Home Page, well, I couldnt! It gave me an error like this:
"You cant access, please contact the Administrator"
I am the only one that uses this computer and of course I am the administrator! But I could access it through the control panel! But the part where you change the Home Page was in shadow, you know when you cant click on it (hard to explain) well, I couldnt change my Home Page! But after clearing the browser cache and clearing the temporary internet folder I could! I even checked my computer twice with my precious Nod32 AV and also with Ad-Aware! Well, after that mess I decided to format my computer and install Windows XP Professional (I was going to anyways...) And voilá! Back to normal! Now I can see all the animations! Im so happy!

Thanks all of you guys who tried to help me! Really appreciated it!
