Is this safe???

If I hook up 1 extra speaker on a channel would it be bad for the system??

I have the Logitech Z560's, I have some JBL Satelites I want to add to my front channels.

No problem. I assume you want to use a Y plug of some sort to hook up both sets.

Well the Logitech Z-560's use Speaker wire and I was going to route it from the original satt to the extra JBL.

What, are you running the wire from the amp of the 560's to the JBL's instead of the logitech satts?

If that's what you're doing just make sure that the JBL's are the same impedance (4, 6 or 8 ohms) and that their max power handling is more than what the 560 amp can put out peak.

If you're talking about having both speakers hooked up at the same time in series, than don't do that, that changes the impedance and it could burn up your amp.

It's worked for me over the years, having 2 speakers in each jack on my stereo systems. I don't have your system but I would go ahead and try it.

Don't do that with powered speakers - you can fry your receiver or amp or whatever you're using to power them. Only try that with self-powered speakers.

I found that out after I connected the JBL's, they were only connected for like 5 minutes.
