When your machine is first turned on and it is running POST (Power On Self Test) there should be a message to the effect of "Press XX to enter setup" the XX key normally used are: Delete, F1, F2 or F10. Your machine might be different. Once in the BIOS you can change the boot sequence, save and exit. Insert your CD, restart the machine and it should now boot from the CD and just follow the instructions.

It should be found under "Advanced BIOS Features". Look for "First Boot Device", select it and you can then change it to the CDROM drive. When you're finished installing, go back into the BIOS and set it back to either Floppy or HDD-0.

Edit - Dang we be good! Consecutively timed posts!

Make sure you turn it back to IDE 0 when finished installing your OS.

You don't need to go into the IDE configuration settings. Just look for settings such as: First Boot Device, Second Boot Device, etc. Just change the first boot device to your CDROM.
