everysingle person i know has that thing... and they have trouble with their machine... I, however, im running RedHat9/WinMe machine so i didnt even notice it

I dont understand HOW people get the virus.

I made a program just like that that would shutdown my comp at a certain time. All you do is goto RUN and type "c:\shutdown.exe -a" and it aborts it.

Well apparently you dont know too many adept windows users. I got the patch back on July 18th, none of the computers on my network got the worm, nor did most of the people I know. All anyone had to do was run windows update once between July 16th and August 10th and they would have been completely fine.

i never got the worm either and believe me im no angel when getting around to updates form microsoft, granted i do run win2k pro, most of the time i do an upgrade it just screws something up....i just use to firewall...one on my router and zone alarm pro...so im covered...
